2 killed in suicide attack at Rescue 15 building in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Two policemen were killed, while four others were injured in a suicide attack on a Rescue 15 office in Sector G-8 on Saturday.y.
The attacker attempted to enter the office by scaling a wall behind the building, which borders a residential area, but was spotted by a guard who opened fire on him. Police sources said the bomber had been between 20 and 25 years old.
“It was a huge blast that jolted the area and shattered everything into pieces in front of my eyes,” an eyewitness told Daily Times. Islamabad police arrested some people in connection with the attack, police spokesman Muhammad Naeem told media. “We have found a hand and two legs of the bomber. We have not been able to find his head so far,” senior police office Bin Yameen told AFP.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik condemned the blast, and condoled with the members of the bereaved families, APP reported.
A mere 20 minutes before the suicide blast, a private TV channel reported, senior police officials conducted an important meeting on the law and order situation.
